So after a horrible day of traveling, we made it to London late.
Yesterday was really rough, for me at least. My throat was so sore and I was coughing lots. We had to wait at the train station for 2 hours before we could get on a train. Then we had to change 2 times before we go to Calais. There we had to take a bus to the ferry terminal. We bought tickets and then paid way too much for the only food available. At least it was something, our only real meal of the day. There Me and Joel popped two Gravol pills for the ferry ride. We played Crap on Your Neighbor most of the way there. I am glad we took the Gravol, cause I was already sick... I like to believe it helped. Then we had to take a bus the the arrival building. Then we had to take another bus to London, which was horrible. It was so cold on that bus. I was so weak from a day of carrying around my heavy bags and being sick and coughing all day. We finally got to London just before 11 at night and then we had to walk a long time to the Metro, we paid £4 ($8) for a one way trip to our hostel and then walked there. I climbed into bed with my Nalgene bottle full of hot water because I had that sick feeling all over. The one where you feel cold and like you have goosebumps all over, but your skin is hot to the touch. The Nalgene bottle was Erics idea and it was wonderful! It helped me sleep.
I slept so late and didnt want to ever wake up. I took some advil first thing and took my time getting up. I hade a shower, which was really nice, warm and good pressure and lots of room, and it helped me clear my sinueses and stuff. After that I felt so much better. Thanks everyone who prayed for me, it definatly helped. Eric and I walked to a super market and bought cheddar cheese, garlic sausage and Ritz crackers and thats what we had for lunch. Then we had a bit of a nap. Well, more like Eric tried to nap and I just talked. Lol. I think I slept a little bit more, for maybe 20 min. That brings us to now, which is 5 oclock. They guys just got back now, I think they went to the Tower of London and I am not sure where else. We have already been there and it is expensive so we didn't go. I needed a day of relaxation to get over this sickness. Tomorrow we will have more fun.
