Today was almost a wasted day. We slept two hours longer than we wanted to because we are lazy. We made lunch and we didnt leave the flat until three. By the time we got to St. Chappele it was closed. Then we went to Notre Dame but we didnt feel like waiting in the long line so we sat down and judged people by their looks. It was fun. There was this slightly overweight white guy with Merrels, green hiking pants and a camera case around his neck. He had a blonde bowl cut and sparse facial hair and black rimmed glasses. I felt so sorry for him I almost gave him 10 bucks.
We explored a bit then went back to our flat to make supper and play cards. We had fried potatoes and salad with the maple turkey dresssing, with honey instead of maple syrup. Then we went out to the Champs Elysees around 10. There were thousands of people on the street, and there were closed to cars. We paid way to much money for Haagen Dazs ice cream and waited for midnight.
At midnight, the Eiffel tower started sparkling, corks popping, fireworks cracking, and people cheering. It was awesome. So much fun! We stayed there for about one hour and then came back to the flat. As we walked back we saw hundeds, probably thousands of champagne bottles on the streets. It was crazy. We will probably have a snack, maybe play cards and then sleep in. There is nothing to do tomorrow becase everything is closed. If you want you can call us at (00) 33 140 20 07 68. My mom said she ad to dial 011 instead or 00, i think.
